  1. I got an email from HR Block at 1am saying that they were initiating my direct deposit the funny thing is I actually got my refund four days ago.

Tavorro Tax Refund Notice from HR Block

  2. I have cycle code 20150605. I filed my taxes on 01/19/15 and accepted on 01/20/15 My transcripts became available on 2/13/15 with a 570 code. The transcript didn’t update again till 02/20/2015 with a 971 code for “Notice Sent” No update since then and no notice recieved in the mail. I called the IRS on 02/11/15 since it was passed my 21 day mark since I was accepted. The representative was very vague and only told me there was a small error that they could possibly fix and if not I would be notified. Not sure what I should do at this point as I have not recieved anything in the mail and whenever I call the IRS I get basically no answer seeing as the second rep I spoke with contradicted what the first rep told me.

    • The representative we talked with today has finally hinted that early filers may have been put in the “review for errors” pile because a number of issues occurred. Some Insurance forms were in the revision process were not even incorporated into some online tax software. Some returns are being checked in order to verify education and healthcare credits and others, we are told, are just taking a little longer than normal because of the sheer number of filers over the last two weeks. Weather and the Federal holiday last week probably didn’t help either. You certainly have every right to request a tax payer advocate because you are past the 21 day timeframe. Their # is How Do You Reach the Taxpayer Advocate Service?

      • I called the advocate line. They didn’t care about it being almost 6 weeks since my return was accepted. One of my cars is broke down, the other that I am currently driving also needs work done. I live in PA and we are required to have an annual inspection done to keep our cars legal. Well guess what.. my inspection expires tomorrow and with all the work that needs done on the cars to pass is unaffordable for me. My inspections due in February specifically because I normally get my refund during that month. I’m now behind on rent because last year with my refund I paid a large chunk to my landlord so that my rent would be prorated through out the year so it wasn’t such a struggle. Now I’m half a month behind on rent because my prorated amount ended in January. My last two paychecks were 200.00 short because of being hospitalized in January and again a few weeks ago due to pregnancy complications. My fiance was recently laid off. But no.. none of this is considered a financial hardship. But if I had a notice for repossession of my car that would work.. hey lady.. if my cars not legal, I cant drive it! It might as well be repossessed. I didn’t say that.. I work in a call center, I know she’s just following policy. But my gosh this is so stressful. I can’t get help anywhere other than from Tavorro responses and maybe a small glimpse of hope from reading what is going on with people in the same/similar tax nightmare I’m going through.

  3. I called the advocate number today. Even though it has been almost 6weeks since my return was accepted and I got conflicting information from the IRS reps I had spoken with a few weeks ago I was found not eligible for an advocate. They stated it was because I don’t have a qualifying financial hardship. Even though my cars are due for inspection by the end of February (something the state of PA requires to keep your vehicle legal to drive). One of the cars has been broke down for the last month and my back up car also requires severe work on it to get it to pass. For years my inspection has been due in the month of February specifically because its when I get my tax refund (until this year). She said if my car were being reposessed that would qualify me for an advocate.. well lady, if my car isn’t legal to drive it might as well be the same as it getting repo’d. I didn’t say that of course, I work in a call center and try to be empathetic towards other call center reps and I know she is just following procedure. But between that and missing work due to two hospitalizations from complications during my pregnancy my last two paychecks have been short and I’m also behind on rent. But since I don’t have an eviction notice yet I’m still not considered to be in a hardship. If I get an eviction notice I have court costs to pay and I’m really trying to avoid that. I’m really trying to be patient but it’s so frustrating having no information or any timeframe of when I can expect to get out of this hole.

  4. Hey there! I’m frustrated because I too, was an early filer and I recieved a 4464C letter. This letter states that they are seeking more info and to wait 60 days. I filed 1/16 and was accepted the same day. I have gotten my state taxes back but no federal. I looked at my tax transcript and noticed 2 570 codes with dates 3-2-15 and 3-9-15 next to them. I looked on my return transcript and near every number provided on my return, there was the exact same number saying “per computer”. Does this mean that all of my information has been verified? What else could they be looking for? I have to purchase a new car and file chaper 7 bankruptcy with my refund, so waiting is horrible right now! My 60 days will be complete by 3-24-15 but I don’t even have 1 code saying a letter was initially sent out, nor one stating that another letter is coming. I’m trying to get a better understanding because the IRS hasn’t given me any information, and I’d like to know how long I will be waiting (approximately). Please help me if you can! Thank you.

    • I’m also having the same problem but my 60 days are not up until March 30, 2015. My transcript is only showing 570 code one time dated 3-02-2015.

  5. I filed on 1/25/15 and received 4464c on 2/2 stating the same thing as everyone else only thing is I am unable to see my transcript and when I was able to see I had a 570 code with 3/2 next to it the IRS is no help I don’t understand so if the date 3/2 says processing will I receive another letter or wait the 60 days please help

  6. Hey Tavorro. Got the email you sent to me but no response from the tax advocate supervisor. So on Friday I just went ahead and did the paper app for a tax advocate (form 911) and faxed it to the tax advocate office in my state. Just got a CP05 letter in mail today saying they are reviewing everything and I don’t need to do anything at this point. That I would receive either my refund or another notice from them by 04/23/15.. i know its a worst case date but with my luck so far it will take that long. Hoping the local tax advocate office will take me under their wing and get this moved along for me.

  7. I originally posted to your other blog posts a week ago (see message below). It has been two weeks and my transcript hasn’t changed at all! I really need some insight as to what is going on and right now I can’t get help anywhere. The number I’ve called for the IRS won’t give me info until 3/24/15 and I’m not sure where else to turn. Please respond and help me.

  8. I can’t get any information on wmr website. I e filed 2/24/2015, and it says everyday they cannot provide me with any information and to please allow four weeks after “mailing”. I did not mail my return. I use Turbo Tax e filing. I tried to call the IRS, and kept getting the automated recording that due to high call volumes….blah, blah. I decided to order my transcript which has codes for 2011 and 2012 of 460, (I did not file an extension for the years 2011 and 2012), 140, 971 and 598. There are zeros next to these amounts with dates. Then when I clicked on 2014 in the transcripts, it showed there was no record of any return filed. I am frustrated. I can’t get any help from Turbo Tax, or the IRS, and it’s been almost a month. Also, I never received any notices as the codes indicate if I understand that part correctly. I couldn’t even get my transcript the first three times because my information didn’t match their records, so I decided to use an older address, being where my ex and I lived and he still does. He said he never received any notices for me at his address? I am able to see on Track my Refund – Turbo Tax that my refund was accepted on 2/24. I had also received a text message and email indicating that it was received and accepted. Can someone help me understand what is going on?? Thank you all

  9. Holy smokes. I gave up on checking my transcripts for about a week and figured I would give it a whirl today. I submitted paperwork to my local tax advocate office March 9th. They sent me a letter dated 3/16/15 that they were getting my return reviewed and they would call me by 3/26/15. Checked my transcript today and FINALLY got a 571 code for the review being done and an 846 for refund issue. It has a 4/13/15 date next to it. Can’t go off of cycle code for when DDD will be as that cycle has passed over a month ago. Assuming the transcript updated today, any idea on when direct deposit should occur?

  10. WMR updated for me today. Finally got my bars back and can expect my direct deposit March 27th! Yay! This tax season has definitely been a stressful one for me but everyone else don’t give up hope! My advice is that if you go over the 21 days from when your return is accepted to call the national tax advocate line. If they refuse to help you complete form 911 on the IRS website and send it into the local tax advocate office with a detailed explanation as to why you need the review of your return to be expedited. I feel like I would have been waiting a lot longer if I didn’t take these steps. Big thanks to Tavorro for helping out and guiding me in the direction I needed to go to finally get this resolved!

  11. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I did my taxes and received them In January. I amended them on March 30 and they received them April 6th. My transcript shows refund code 846 and cycle 20151701. I moved and my new address is on my amended return…will i get my check at my new adress?? And does this cycle reflect May 1st mailing date? Thanks for any help!

    • Yes, they will mail it to the new address. You may want to forward your mail from the old address through the post office just in case, but as a rule, they go by the address on the amended return. If you have questions you can always get a tax advocate involved.
